So simple!!! 1) apply lots of Vaseline to your hands just before you go to bed, and wear protective gloves which you can buy in boots. youll wake up with silky hands. 2) come to me for parafin wax treatment, it makes wonders! 3) always wear gloves when washing up and doing the cleaning!!My hands are really dry and they cut by itself i used neutrogena hand cream but it dosent work help plz?
your dry hands could be from constantly cleaning with chemicals and washing them too much. i once had that problem when i worked as a housekeeper. as soon as i stopped working my hands eventually healed. i don't know what lotions are helpful but i do know that scented lotion will sting. Report Abuse

buy some soft cotten gloves and at night put them on to sleep in aand put loads of handcream in..this will have to done every night and eventually they should start to soften
vaseline works wonders, try it.
Try massaging your hands with vaseline. It's greasy but your hands will stay moisturized.
I also have this problem in the winter. Here is the best thing I have found: Go to your local feed store or animal health store and get some Corona. Apply it to your hands liberally before bedtime and put extra onto the cracks. Put cotton gloves or socks on over your hands. Your hands will heal very quickly. You only need to do it again when you feel another split coming on.
Start using corn huskers lotion. You can get it from Walmart for aout 2.00..use it several times a day it will help...It is really good for mechanic hands makes them nice and soft..if it can heal their hands I am sure it can help ours too..
Try Eucerin. It's stuff they use in hospitals. I wash my hands all the time now since I had a baby, so my hands get so dry they crack sometimes. If I put Eucerin on it and by the end of the day they've healed. Get Eucerin Original
my niece has this problem and we tried every lotion there was but that was over the counter i would see a skin doctor for this since they are educated in this field and get the proper medication for your hands, my nieces hand are doing better because of it
drink all of water and try to speak to dctor about this...
Do you notice a change when it starts getting cold outside?

Use a good hand lotion, make sure your hands don't get cold when you go outside. Drink plenty of water, take vitamins (lack of vitamin B and C was said to be the cause of my hands being like that 20 years ago).
cover them with Vaseline and put cotton gloves on them when you are going to bed. Do this for a week and you will see a difference. My sister did this and it works.
Go to the tractor supply store, or most any old country feed store, and get yourself some cow tit cream or ointment...a lot of women use it for the hands especially in the winter.

Or the Pharmacy should carry Buttocks Butt paste...no joke its for babies Butts...it works for hands as well
I think that Cold Pressed Sesame and Cold Pressed Raw Coconut Oil would best help you. (the emphasis is on coconut oil) You should both rub it topically on the affected skin and take internally for the skin %26amp; body. Read up on these two oils. Also Blackcurrant Oil...

Sesame Oil is the very best natural conditioner for the skin. When you rub it on, it doesn't stop at the skin the way other oils and creams do. Sesame Oil penetrates to the very marrow of the bone. On the way it gathers oil soluble toxins and takes them into the blood stream to be eliminated by the body as waste. It also neutralizes oxygen radicals, which are thought to be one of the major causes of aging.

Coconut oil is a medium-chain saturated fatty acid that has numerous health benefits:

* Antiviral, Antimicrobial, and Antifungal Properties

Coconut oil contains lauric acid and its derivative, monolaurin. Both are considered to have properties that destroy viruses, such as HIV, herpes, influenza (the ';flu';), and cytomegalovirus, bacteria, such as H. pylori, and protozoa, such as giardia.

# Increases Metabolic Rate

Coconut oil can be integrated into a healthy weight loss plan. It stimulates metabolism.

# Other Possible Benefits of Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is also believed to help with cholesterol regulation by raising ';good'; HDL cholesterol. It also shows promise in tumor prevention and has a nourishing/replenishing effect to the skin.
you could try some hemp cream. from body shop. very good, smother some on and leave it to soak in.
Buy a large tub of Aqueous cream - very inexpensive. Keep applying it all day long at frequent intervals. If that doesn't work it may be some type of skin condition that will need prescription cream from your doctor
Before you do to bed use some Auquaphor..it`s a healing ointment that you can but at any drug store...put that on and then wear some cotton gloves to bed and in the morning your hand`s will be so soft, also works great on the feet!
when you wash your hands make sure you dry them properly try using eperderm its really good for very dry skin works a treat
How about Neosporin? Even it's own commercials tell about putting it on dry skin and cuts. You can put it on and put some thin gloves on overnight. Or vaseline.
I use Aqueous Cream BP on my face - it's the only thing that works for me. You can get it on perscription as well. Ask your doctor.
when you go to bed cover your hands in almond oil and put on a pair of those surgical gloves. it feels horrible but makes your skin soft as a babys bum
put on lots of vaseline on your hands, then put on clean white cotton socks over your hands, go to bed and leave them on all night.
