I searched on the internet, but I am looking for examples of what kinds of infections it is used for. Laymans termsWhat is CLOBETASOL PROPIONATE CREAM used for?
Clobetasol Propionate Cream is typically prescribed for the treatment of psoriasis. Psoriasis is an autoimmune skin condition that causes rashes. It is noncontagious and rashes can form on multiple parts of the body especially around the joints. Stress can aggravate the condition. What is CLOBETASOL PROPIONATE CREAM used for?
Not to be a smart-*** but, Clobetasol Propionate (CP) should not be used for infections. It will not help and could worsen skin infection problem situations, such as cold sores, acne, rosacea, chickenpox, ringworm, thrush or athlete's foot, especially those with broken skin. It does work for treating inflammatory skin conditions such as severe eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis. Usually these conditions are best known for dry, flaky, itching patches of skin. CP will not cure these conditions, nothing will. However, it can temporarily lessen or even eliminate their nasty symptoms. CP comes in several different forms, for different skin areas and personal preferences. Much of this I have learned through experimention and having researched CP, as I have dermatitis of the scalp, and in my work as a registered nurse. CP is available in a liquid that I apply weekly and then leave on, for at least 12 hours. To keep it moist, I keep on a shower cap until I am ready to shampoo it out. This keeps my scalp problem-free. If I skip a week, it starts to come right back. Skip two and my scalp is itching like crazy and when I scratch, it looks like my head is snowing. I have used it for almost fifteen years and am yet to experience even a single side-effect.
